The peanut butter is in the cupboard with all the canned goods and not, as you might expect, in the cupboard with the crackers, where any logical person would first look and would continue looking for at least a week and a half before concluding that no, this house really does not have peanut butter in it--at least until said logical person looked in the can cupboard to find more kitten food and discovered, unexpectedly, the long-desired peanut butter sitting there in that glow of light TV commercials use to signify that God likes to bless household goods in his spare time but in this case simply signified that we have discovered lunch and it is good.
