I Must Say
With all the war, death, pain,
and outrage in the world,
it is indeed a miracle that God
sent His Son to earth
as a ray of Hope, of Goodwill--
for all the years to come.
A miracle that pierces my anger
and confusion
like a fresh Mystery
I've only begun to breathe.

There's always been war, death, pain and outrage. What's new is CNN and Fox News to make it so real, and so "top of mind."
We do need a ray of hope. I'm just not sure where it will come from.
Ah--it's always been "real" and "top of mind" to those who feel the pain and die--
only now to we empathize through visualizations.
What would life on Earth be if we empathized through faith?
without having to "see"?
SQ: I think you know where I stand :) The Mystery you've begun to breathe has a beautiful aroma.

The problem with secular humanism is that it recognizes the need for hope, but since its hope is generally invested in people and their power it is always woefully bankrupt.
Never seems to end, does it? There's always fighting somewhere.
