Again.
My lovely boss/friend
had an unexpected stroke on Saturday--
she's only in her mid-40s
and seemingly in great health.
Apparently, she had a blood clot
in her brain stem.
Hopefully, she'll make a full recovery.
The news simply stunned me.
I hear she's in excellent spirits,
so I'm off to visit her this morning.
But really I'm drained.
Why do I carry such a high empathy level?

Sorry to hear about your boss/friend.
It's kind of hard to hear about stuff like this. Makes a person feel vulnerable..
I hope she'll be all better soon!
I talk to people on the phone all the time who are having health issues, and it just makes me want to jump in the car and drive 14 hours so I can show up at their house, hug them, and help them.
you ought to go read to her.
PS. are you familiar with Latin at all? I need a bit of Latin proofed but am not sure if I know anyone who can do it.
